Did you know ? The name Croisette refers to the small cross ( from the Provencal Crouseto ) which was erected at the end of the cape !

You can start your stroll from Le Palm Beach, where the pilgrims installed the small cross.
Did you know ? This is the closest place between the mainland and the island.
The itinerary that we suggest you today goes from this area, to the hill of the old town of Cannes Le Suquet !

There, you will be able to observe the amazing view on the Lerins Islands. This is also a famous spot to see kite-surfers.*Picture by Ville de Cannes

Then you can continue and walk slowly on the way of the famous Palais Des Festivals.

PALAIS DES FESTIVALS ET DES CONGRES

Then we suggest that you reach one of the most beautiful spots of Cannes located in the Old town, named Le Suquet.

LE SUQUET

Cannes has a soul, it blossoms in Le Suquet, this hill which was the cradle of the city. An ideal viewpoint to admire the bay and the Croisette which runs alongside it and The Old Port. The oldest district of Cannes is the communion of Provencal charm and village authenticity.*Picture by Ville de Cannes

Finally, for the afternoon we suggest 2 options. If you like nature and history you can board and discover the Lérins Abbey.
The fortified monastery of Saint-Honorat Island ( 1840 ) and The Royal Fort of Sainte-Marguerite Island ( 1927 ) are ones of the oldest buildings in the city of Cannes, protected as historical monuments and listed in the Mérimée database of the French Ministry of Culture.

Or option number 2, if you're a shopping addict, you will find your happiness in the "Rue D'Antibes".
Did you know ? The name comes from an old national road that connected Cannes to Antibes, which has always been a home to a multitude of shops.
All the shops are still open ! And Cannes Agency is located here, feel free to come and visit our office !
